Dirk De Backer

Dirk De Backer studied advertising and painting at Sint -Lukas Brussels, printmaking at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp

and then the National Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp. His work has appeared in various national and international exhibitions.

He has been lecturing at St Lucas School of Arts Antwerp since 1982, where he was also head of Fine Arts department for a long time.

He currently teaches photography and figure drawing in the Fine Arts department and advertising in the Graphic Design department.
